感恩、反恐、國際參與。 在1621年11月，朝聖者邀請當地居民，參加他們第一次的玉米收成。三百九十四年以前，新移民者給我們啟示，他們是如何向當地土著，伸出友誼之手，決心要在新大陸落地生根。這就是人們記憶中，第一個美國人的感恩節。這確實是，給所有新殖民者，想融入新社會的一個好主意。 感恩節它不只是，一個與家人團聚的日子，一個與老朋友敘舊的季節，更重要的它也是，您與居住所在地社區互動，融為它一部分的時節。是的，感恩節現已廣泛地在美國、和世界各地被熱烈慶祝。其實，在台灣也有類似的慶典活動，每十二年一次的「做醮」，整個社會參與，真誠地膜拜，典禮儀式結束後，每個家庭會邀請和招待親戚、朋友和甚至從未謀面的社區人士。 然而，可能是文化的差異，當美國的第一批殖民者，在他們抵美後一年，選擇了積極、友好地融入當地社區；但中國國民黨，在軍事佔領台灣兩年之後，開槍展開大屠殺。新殖民選擇融入新大陸，把它建設成自己心愛的家園和國家、美國。但，國民黨卻始終，把台灣當作二戰的戰利品，而他們的家鄉卻一直都在中國。 1945年，蔣介石被麥克阿瑟將軍授權，軍事佔領台灣和澎湖群島，但他從來沒有被授予台灣的主權。1947年蔣介石下令他的軍隊，進行228大屠殺，成千上萬的台灣人被殺害。那些被中華人民共和國，在1949年踢出中國，跟著老蔣逃到台灣的隨從，卻總自認為他們是，中華民國的高等國民，而把台灣人視為二等公民。國民黨政府實施軍事戒嚴，和白色恐怖統來治台灣。不幸的是，台灣人民在歷經七十年洗腦後，似乎得了斯德哥爾摩綜合症，堅持中華民國是他們的國家，還宣稱他們仍然擁有，中國和蒙古的主權。 今天，我們都生活在數位年代，歷史的所有真相，是可以很容易地查閱，相關的電子檔案給予確定，所有的秘密承諾或協議，也立即會被維基解秘給披露。中華民國也不過是，一個逃離中國的流亡政府，它是靠台灣人民無條件地給予支持，才得以活了下來。台灣人民從來沒有，質疑過中華民國，作為一個國家的合法性，相反地他們深信，台灣就是中華民國、和中華民國就是台灣，台灣一直是一個，主權獨立國家，現在名叫中華民國。然而，歷史是殘酷的，台灣不是獨立的主權國家，甚至連中華民國本身，也並沒有受到國際社會的承認。 馬英九總是向台灣人民吹噓，中華民國是一個主權獨立的國家，他是中華民國的總統，但是當他遇到了習近平，中國真正的國家主席，就馬上改口說，他是習六位屬虎幕僚之一，致力於一中政策。現在，國民黨的總統候選人朱立倫，換了詞改變戰術，用一台作為他的競選政策，來欺騙他的選民。但是當他五月初，與習近平在北京會面時說，台灣海峽兩岸同屬一個中國。他的一台灣政策，根本就胡扯瞎說。 自去年太陽花運動之後，大多數的台灣人民已經逐步覺醒，他們從現在，開始質疑台灣的法理地位。國民黨、中華民國，不是台灣的主權者，如果民進黨，能夠贏得明年一月的總統大選，民進黨、中華民國，也同樣不是台灣的主權者。那麼現在，誰擁有它呢？這是一個懸空割讓，由舊金山和平條約，授權美國軍事政府作為主要佔領國，台灣關係法已正式，不再承認中華民國，並把它命名為台灣的執政當局。
現在美國軍事政府的三軍統帥，美國總統奧巴馬，在全球反恐的戰鬥中，點名台灣為全球反恐聯盟戰略夥伴的一員，也立即被伊斯蘭國把台灣，列為進行攻擊目標的國家。有些人特此呼籲奧巴馬總統「別把台灣捲入你的戰爭」。這真是一個典型的鴕鳥政策，一味只知把頭往沙裡栽，而不是勇敢地面對挑戰。伊斯蘭國攻擊殺害平民遊客、記者，迫害自由和民主。該伊斯蘭國，並不等同於穆斯林，它們彼此有著很大的出入。 如果台灣想要自主、自己當家、參與國際事務，他們就得遵守國際規則、承擔責任。我們必須致力於捍衛民主制度，參與集體防衛，為正義和自由而戰。感恩，當知施捨；感恩節，謝謝您的付出，而不是只知索取。 謝鎮寬 加州、海沃 Thanksgiving: give & take In November 1621, the Pilgrims invited the native residents to join them for thefirst corn harvest. Three hundred ninety four years ago, the new settlers disclosed us how they outreached hands to local Indians to root in the newland. It is now remembered as the first American’s first Thanksgiving. This indeed is an excellent idea for all new comers to integrate into the newcommunity. Thanksgivingis not just a day for family reunion, a season to meet old friends it also evenmore important to associate with the community where you live and to be part ofit. Yes, now the Thanksgiving Day has been widely celebrated in the UnitedStates and the world. In Taiwan there is a very similar activity known as the Bun Ritual, 做醮every twelve years the entire community gettogether to sincerely worship gods and after the ceremony every family invite and entertain relatives, old friends and communitymembers they even never met before. However, it must be the cultural difference while the American first settlers chose activelyand friendly associated with local community one year after their arrival butthe Chinese Nationalist Party fired guns to massacre Taiwanese in 1947 twoyears after they military occupied Formosa. The new settlers committed to thenew land so they built it as their beloved home and country, the United States. But the KMT always treats Taiwan as their trophy of World War II and their homesare in China. In1945, Chiang Kai-shek was authorized by General Douglas MacArthur to military occupy Formosa and the Pescadores Islands but he never given the sovereignty ofTaiwan. CKS ordered his military to conduct the 228 Massacre in 1947, tens of thousands Taiwanese were killed. Those who kicked out by PRC and escaped to Taiwan with CKS in 1949 always thought they were the first class of ROC citizenand treated Taiwanese as the second class. The KMT government ruled Taiwanunder the martial law and control people with white terror. Unfortunately, after 70 years brainwash Taiwan people suffered the Stockholm syndrome to believe that ROC is their county and they still own the sovereignty of China andMongolia. Today, we are in the digital era all the truth of history can be easily checked and identified by the related electronic archives, all secret promises or agreements will be instantly disclosed by the Wikileaks. ROC is nothing but a Chinese exiled government they are survived by having Taiwan people’s unconditional supports. Taiwanese have never questioned the legitimacy of ROC as a country instead they deeply believe that Taiwan is ROC and ROC is Taiwan, andTaiwan has been an independent nation named ROC with sovereignty. However, thehistory is cruel that Taiwan not independent with sovereignty and even ROC itself is not recognized by the international community at all. MaYing-jeou boasted to Taiwan people all the time that ROC is an independent nation with sovereignty and he is the president of ROC but while he met Xi Jinping, the real Chinese president Ma changed his words and said he is one of Xi’s six tiger staffs working for one China. Now, KMT’s president candidateEric Chu changed tactics offering one Taiwan as his campaign policy to voters. But while he met Xi in May he said both sides of Taiwan Strait belong to one China. His one Taiwan policy is nothing but baloney. Since the Sunflower movement in last year most of Taiwanese are waking up they start to question the legal status of Taiwan today. KMT/ROC is not the sovereign of Taiwan, if DPP will win the presidential election next January DPP/ROC is neither the sovereign of Taiwan. Then who owns it now? It has been a limbo cession suspended by the San Francisco Peace Treaty authorizes the USMG as the principal occupying power, and the Taiwan Relation Act derogated ROC and named it as the governing authority of Taiwan. The Commander-in-chief of the USMG, US President Barack Obama named Taiwan as one of the Global Coalition against the Islamic State and IS immediately listed Taiwanas a target nation to attack. Some people appeal to Obama to “keep Taiwan out of your fight”. It is a typical Ostrich Policy to stick head in the sand rather than face challenge. The IS attacked and destroyed civilian travelers, reporters, freedom and democracy. The IS does not equal to the Muslims. They are very different to each other. If Taiwanese want to be their own maters and enter into the international community, they need to follow the international rules and share the responsibilities. We must commit ourselves to defend the democratic system, join the collective defenses to fight for justice and freedom. Thanksgiving meansgive and take.
